Our Story
White Barn and Blooms is a working lavender farm rooted in family, community, and a shared love of the land. Meet Victor Gonzalez
Internationally Recognized Expert in Lavender Cultivation
Victor Gonzalez is a nationally recognized lavender grower and educator, best known for his work in Sequim, widely regarded as the lavender capital of the United States. His Sequim, Washington farm has long been a hub for lavender festivals, education, and production—drawing growers, families, and industry professionals from across the country.
Now expanding his work into Central Ohio, Victor brings his decades of expertise to reach new communities and unlock greater possibilities for distribution, education, and innovation. This expansion allows for increased accessibility to high-quality lavender plants and products while creating a broader platform for community engagement, hands-on learning, and sustainable growth.
Victor’s passion for lavender began with both science and possibility.Trained through Washington State University, Victor became fascinated by lavender at a time when it was still largely understudied in the U.S. He worked alongside professors to research oil quality, yield, and growing conditions - testing and refining methods that would later become the foundation of his work. While many people can grow lavender, Victor focused on a deeper question: What can this plant truly do when grown, harvested, and processed with intention?
Over decades, he perfected propagation techniques, oil extraction methods, and climate-specific formulas that produce lavender with exceptional fragrance, yield, and versatility. His work has taken him across the U.S. and internationally studying how lavender adapts, thrives, and serves different cultures.Lavender, for Victor, became a doorway: to rebuild communities, educate growers, and advance the science of a plant that brings calm, beauty, and connection wherever it’s planted.
